Scaw’s Moly-Cop embraces orphans; helps provide a homely home
The purpose of Moly-Cop Chile’s visit to the Carlos Macera Children’s Home at the end of 2008 was to surprise the children with a television set, as well as present a cheque to the helpers. The TV was one that had been used by the company for video conferencing and has been replaced by a modern model.
This home struggles constantly to provide food and shelter for its children because it receives very little support from the Chile Government. It has capacity for 60 children.
The Moly-Cop delegates are shown in the photograph: Gisela Mosciatti, HR and production secretary (third right), Monica Aguilera, engineering secretary (at the center) and John Kemble, HR manager, Scaw Metals Group (far right). Also in the Moly-Cop delegation were Rodrigo Escalona, HR general and RSE assistant, and Guido Dasso, HR manager, Moly-Cop Chile.

If it were not for Carlos Macera Home, many children like little Byron would be alone in the world. The children in Carlos Macera orphanage are as young as four. The oldest is 23.
