CHAIN PRODUCTS
Scaw's Chain and Forged Fittings Factories at Vereeniging, South of Johannesburg, produce a wide range of chain and related fittings to service the mining, industrial, marine, offshore, agricultural, and forestry industries.
Forged fittings are manufactured from nickel-chrome-molybdenum alloy steel bar. Commercial products are manufactured from a wide variety of steels ranging from mild steel to the specialised steels used in the rock drilling industry.
Chain Products has the technology and capability to take a product from conception through tooling development to manufacture, testing and sales. The components are designed using solid modelling software. Tool paths are generated and converted into dies using the latest high speed CNC milling techniques.

Chain Products are specialist manufacturers of the McKinnon brand of chains:
Chain Applications:
- Long Link Chain to SABS 251/1993
- Extra Long Link Chain to SABS 251/1993
- Short Link Chain Grades 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 to SABS 189/93
- Calibrated Grade V Load Chain for manually operated Chain Hoists to SABS 1592/1993
- Kibble Chain Assemblies to AAC specification and/or McKinnon Chain specification.
