GIRTH GEARS

A12 Meter Diameter Cast Steel Girth Gears cast in quarters being final machined by David Brown Engineering.

Scaw’s scale of operation in our Heavy Bay, encompassing Moulding Pits, Vacuum degassing plant, Heat Treatment furnaces and a 50 ton handling capacity, facilitates the efficient manufacture of a range of gear castings up to a maximum net weight of 30 tons per segment.

ROPE SOCKETS

Safety critical components such as rope sockets are routinely processed through our operation using all the quality control resources at our disposal to ensure a sound product which meets with our clients stringent requirements.

MILL TRUNNION JOURNALS

The extensive Machine shop facilities on site are an essential resource in dealing with high specification finishes such as the Mill Trunnion Journals which weigh of the order of 15 ton a piece.
